of Short Hills will be adding a bit more green to their garden – and reds,
blues and yellows. The garden will be hosting a collection titled “In the
Garden” from artist Betty Woodman, who started as a production potter in the
1950’s and has since been included in over 50 museum collections.
The collection, to be displayed
from Aug. 1 to Nov. 15. will includes
six out of seven cast bronze and hand painted benches, being the largest U.S. showing of
the benches. The collection also includes a table along with several flower
pots as a part of the collection.
Woodman has other bronze works – which include two wall
installation commissions with fountains – at a private sculpture garden in
Perugia, Italy and another as a part if the 2016.
The gardens are open Saturday through Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and free for
children under 12.
