National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization rolls out lesson plans to K-12 teachers

As the school year begins in states across the country, the National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization is rolling out a new unit of lesson plans called “Harvesting: Crops and Careers” to K-12 teachers.

It developed the lesson plans in partnership with US Custom Harvesters, New Holland and ConjoStudios LLC, producer of the film “The Great American Wheat Harvest.”

The unit educates students on the production and harvesting of wheat and other grain crops in America and the varied careers involved in these processes.

The seven lessons are tied to video outtakes produced by ConjoStudios’ Conrad Weaver.

These lessons and related videos are at http://www.agclassroom.org/teacher/themes.htm.
