Native plants in the home landscape Oct. 13 in Lyndhurst

Don Torino, president of Bergen County Audubon Society, will give a presentation on the importance of planting native plants in your backyard and the benefits they provide to birds, insects, wildlife and your yard 12:30 pm. Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Meadowlands Environment Center, 2 DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst.

  1. Thank you for this post. Through thousands of years of coevolution,… birds, butterflies, insect pollinators have become interdependent with native plants. Many of these plants benefit from birds and pollinators, and the plants have evolved specifically to attract them.
