Duke Fams and Growing Power offers two day sustain-community food workshop Sept. 24 and 25

Growing Power will return to Duke Farms for an intensive, hands-on, training workshop offering the opportunity to learn, plan, develop, operate and sustain community food projects 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Sept. 24 and Sun., Sept. 25.

The mornings of both days will be  general sessions while workshops are offered in the afternoons.

Topics will include: project planning, mushrooms and micro-greens, composting/vermiculture, hoop house building and aquaculture. 

Duke Farms is at 1112 Dukes Parkway in Hillsborough. 

Cost: $200 for the two-day workshop.
